國際生實用華語－中級1
Chinese Enhancing Course ─ Intermediate I |
|
課程目標 |
This course aims to develop the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. By the end of the course, students are expected to have mastered basic Chinese grammar, be able to buy transportation tickets, describe travelling experience, making plans etc., and interact with Chinese people in daily conversation. Through the Chinese language, students will also learn basic information about Chinese culture and traditions. |

課程要求 |
1.準時上課，不要遲到早退。
Attend the class on time, don’t be late for class or leave earlier than
scheduled.
2.課中請勿抽菸、喝酒和吃東西。
No alcohol, No smoking and No food is allowed in class.
3.課中請勿使用手機和電子產品。(除了電子辭典外)。
No cell phones and No electronics. (Except electronic dictionary.)
4.課堂中不說中文以外的語言。
Only “Chinese” in class.
5.專心聽講，勿交頭接耳。
Full attention is required, no chatting in class.
6.準時交作業。
Submit the homework on time.
7.上課一定要有課本。
Bring the textbook each class .
8.尊重同學的發言權和受教權。
Respect classmates’ right to speak and the right of learning.
9.你的出席率和遲到次數會影響最後的平常表現成績。如果超過8個小時沒來上課，本學期成績不及格。
Your absence and number of times being late will inflect attendance and
class participation grade. If you don’t attendant the class over 8 hours, you will fail this course. |

出席及平時表現成績(Attendance and Class Participation) |

(1) 每堂課遲到或早退 20 分鐘以上，即算缺席一小時。
Late for class more than 20 minutes or leave the class 20 minutes earlier than scheduled time will be regarded as one-hour absence.
(2) 每個學生一學期可有三次缺席(9 個小時，含遲到或早退)，老師不會扣分，但必須事先寫信告訴老師。第十個小時開始，每缺席一小時，就扣出席及平時表現成績 1 分。缺課時數超過學期的五分之一則不給予學分。若有事無法上課，請先寫信告訴老師。
Students who are absent within 9 hours (including the absence that are late for class or leave the class 20 minutes than scheduled from class) will not lose any point, but you must inform the instructor by email in advance that you are unable to attend the class. From the 10th hour, students will lose one point per hour. Students are absent more than 1/5 of the semester (more than 20 hours, the 20th hour not included.) will fail the class. Inform the instructor by email in advance if you are unable to attend the class. |

作業包括學生作業簿、中國字習寫練習及其他強化能力的作業。作業於課堂上領取，未出席者於課程網站下載後書寫。作業需於老師指定日內交回，晚交會批改但不計分。 Homework includes Chinese character practice and some other assignments, such as writing narrations or dialogues. Homework will be handed out in class, you must download it here if you are absent. All assignments must be handed in on time, late submission will not be accepted and students won’t get any points. |

平時測驗 Quiz and Test |

(1) 從第二週課程開始，除期中考及期末考週以外，每次上課都有聽寫考試。一上課就考試，如果因故而沒參加考試的，不能補考。期末會選最好的 8 次列入聽寫成績。
From the 2nd week, there will be dictation quiz at the beginning of the class. No make-up quiz provided. The instructor will pick 8 best scores at the end of the semester.
(2) 每課教完有單元考試(一共為 2~3次)。單元考試時間不定，但皆為該天上課最後一小時。考試主要為筆試(含聽力測驗)，視情況加入口試。每課小考缺考不予補考。
There will be a written test (including listening comprehension) for each lesson (the total is 2~3 tests). The test will be given at the last hour of the class. There will be several oral tests this semester. You can’t take a make-up test if you miss the test for each lesson. |

期中考 Mid-term Exam |

期中考試為筆試(60%)、聽力測驗(10%)及口試(30%)。若因故無法參加，必須事先知會老師，方可在一週內補考筆試及聽力測驗。若沒於考試前至少一天先告訴老師，將不能進行補考。
Mid-term exam includes written test (60%), listening comprehension (10%) and oral test (30%). Students who can’t take mid-term exam on the scheduled date must inform the instructor at least one day before the exam date. You will need to take a make-up exam within one week. You can’t take the make-up exam if you didn’t inform the instructor in advance. |

期末考 Final Exam |
20% |
期末考試為筆試(90%)、聽力測驗(10%)。期末考不管什麼原因，均不能補考。
Final exam includes written test (90%) and listening comprehension (10%). You will not be able to take a make-up exam if you miss it. |
